Backup & independence

Stop caring when the power goes out

The first argument for a home battery isn't the money — it's peace of mind: your home keeps running, whatever happens on the grid.

Automatic switch-over at an outage

When the grid fails, a hybrid inverter with a backup function switches to the battery automatically: the essential circuits — fridge, lighting, internet, heating — stay powered.

Independence from the grid

Your evening consumption comes from the energy you produced during the day. You are less exposed to grid prices and grid faults.

Bonus: the bill goes down too

And on top of that, your bill shrinks as well — see the calculation below

How it works

Why a LiFePO4 battery at home?

Without a battery, the midday surplus from your panels is injected into the grid at a low price, and in the evening you buy it back at a high price. The battery stops this loss: it stores the daytime surplus and delivers it exactly when you need it, in the evening and at night.

LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) chemistry is the safest in the lithium class: it does not ignite under overload, withstands thousands of cycles without significant degradation and operates stably across a wide temperature range.

No more selling your daytime surplus cheap and buying it back at a premium in the evening

01
Daytime
The panels power the home; the surplus charges the battery.
02
Evening
Production drops, but the battery takes over the home load.
03
Night
Base consumption comes from the battery, not the grid.
04
Outage
Essential loads stay powered automatically.

The daily savings

How the battery works on a sunny day

The midday surplus isn't free: without a battery, your supplier compensates it quantitatively — but only the active energy. When you store it, the real cost of charging is the compensation you give up; in return, in the evening you avoid the full grid price, network tariffs included.

Compensation covers only the active energy — you still pay the network tariffs either way. The battery avoids them entirely.

Illustrative example: 10 kWh battery, indicative prices (compensation ~0.65 lei/kWh · full grid price ~1.3 lei/kWh); the real profile depends on consumption and season.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about batteries

Simple rule: the battery should cover your evening and night consumption, when the panels do not produce. For an average home (~20–25 kWh/day) a 10 kWh battery typically covers the evening load; for large homes or those with a heat pump, 15 kWh or two modules. We calculate your exact capacity free of charge, based on your consumption.
